Work it, work it, work it! This is my team working up Mt. Rainier.

MLK Day

It's almost MLK Day. That was the time for our "Annual MLK Day Ice Climb" in Colorado. I miss that road trip to Boulder, stopping at Quiznos for food, and finding a nice place to set up top ropes for an ice climb. In those days I thought it was cold outside - now I know better.

Mondays

Mondays were made for skiing. I was a bit slow getting this up on Monday, because I was out enjoying the slopes. Bridger Bowl is my new favorite, but I hate to mention it and make it popular. No lift lines, lots of exciting terrain, and the weather has been perfect. Those -20 days seem to have gone to the Midwest now, leaving us with a midmountain temperature of 15, and minimal winds. Woo hoo!

Typical Day

I'm getting ready to try out my Yak Trax - first day so far where I would not be knee deep in snow. The usual work day here is to get up early, and make sure the snow has not blocked me in the garage or driveway. Once that's clear, I can get ready for work. Thermal longjohns under dress clothes when the temperature is around zero. Long sleeve shirts. Leave no exposed skin! I put on my snow boots, and have a pair of dress shoes in my backpack for work. This seems to be common for work - everyone has two pairs of shoes, and a bundle of warm clothing at their desks for going in and out. Now it makes sense why no one leaves the building for lunch!

New Year

Wow, I guess it has been a month since I got to blog. I need to keep up, but work gets in the way. I have a new picture of the snow piled up in the yard - got myself stuck in it the other day, too.
